What is CRHP?
(Pronounced "CHIRP"), C hrist R enews H is P arish (CRHP) is a spiritual renewal process that brings parishioners together in order to deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ and each other. Since it's beginning in 1969, CRHP has proven to be an effective instrument for spiritual growth in hundreds of parishes across the country. CRHP has a clear focus on the Gospel and emphasizes continued growth in Christian life through scripture, prayer, the sacraments, and fellowship with members of our parish community. Some of the people you meet in CRHP will become great friends and sounding boards for you on your spiritual journey.

CRHP offers an opportunity to step back from daily life and re-examine our Christian, Catholic commitment to the teachings of Jesus.

The CRHP process begins with a renewal weekend at the parish (one weekend for men, one weekend for women) that runs from Saturday morning through Sunday afternoon.

CHRP runs from Saturday Morning to Sunday Afternoon and is held at the Saint Margaret Mary Ministry Center.

The renewal weekend is open to all St. Margaret Mary parishioners who are at least 19 years old. Renewal weekends are ongoing and given for parishioners by parishioners. After the renewal weekend, participants have the opportunity to put on the next weekend, (for the following group of parishioners), and participate in a team formation process that includes weekly spiritual meetings.

CRHP is for anyone seeking spiritual renewal and an opportunity to deepen their faith and sense of purpose within the parish community.

Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary. – Isaiah 40:31

What is the weekend about?
The weekend is an opportunity to hear and discuss how Catholics strive to live in our world as citizens of Christ's Church. Team members center the process around reflections with an emphasis on small group discussions and activities. Topics include the Father's loving care for us, Scripture, Eucharist, and what living the Christian life is about.

You will be free to share your thoughts and experiences on your Christian journey to the extent that you are comfortable. Prayer, scripture, and liturgy stimulate dialogue and an atmosphere of reverence. Sacraments are a part of the weekend with Mass being celebrated on Saturday evening and Sunday morning. Reconciliation is offered to participants with our parish priests.

We have not ceased to pray for you and ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. – Colossians 1:9-10

Who will invite me and who may attend?
You don't need a personal invitation. If you are a St. Margaret Mary parishioner, and 19 years old and older, then you are already invited. Invitations will be made in bulletin and Mass announcements or by someone you know in the parish. Sign up sheets will be available after each Mass. Do not conform yourself to this age but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and pleasing and perfect. – Romans 12:2
