The term “bare necessities” means something different for each of us. For some it’s two cars, or three meals a day plus snacks or even a smart phone. For many of the homeless in McHenry County it means finding a place to sleep, eating a meal or just some clean clothes.
With this awareness the Social Outreach Ministry will be conducting its annual “Undie Sunday” collection. We are asking all of you to please purchase new underwear, “T” shirts and socks appropriate for men, women and children. We will be delivering these items to shelters for those in need. Remember our Lord himself said that we will be remembered for clothing the naked. Please bring all new “Undies” to Church on the weekend of October 14th/15th (deadline is Noon on Monday the 16th). Thank you for your continued generosity and support to our Saint Margaret Mary Social Outreach Ministries.
