DAYS #8: 7/18/08 - Sydney, Australia
Today was a little bit like yesterday. We started our day with Catechesis and we heard a talk from a Bishop from Scotland, which was pretty fun and cool. He, like the other Bishops, talked about the Holy Spirit and how it works in our life. Our lunches were identical to the ones we had yesterday, but instead of running to get seats to greet the Pope, we stayed in the courtyard at St. Peter’s to eat our
lunches. After, we made our way to Barangaroo, our assigned location, to watch and listen to the Stations of the Cross. Although the stations took a few hours to get through, they were really great and beautiful to watch. Each station was located at different part of the city and the people re-enacting the stations would go to the different locations and act out a different station each time. This took up the biggest chunk of time today and unfortunately it was a bit cold, but it was well worth it. After stations, we stuck around in our location for a Matt Maher concert and ended the night with a Father Stan, a rapping Priest, concert at the Opera House. We are preparing for our pilgrimage tonight by packing our backpacks and getting rest and tomorrow we begin the day with a mass in French. We areall excited and can’t wait for the day we’ve been anxiously preparing for tomorrow.

Until tomorrow,
