Baptizing an Older Child
The Catholic Church considers anyone over the age of reason (about 7 years old) as a adult and that person cannot be baptized in the Rite for Infant Baptisms. If the child is seven years to twelve years old, we have a process called finding GOD together. Both the parent and the student must each attend instructional classes. The finding GOD together program is the process by which older children are brought to the appropriate sacraments. Contact the Parish Office at 847-658-7625 for more information and clarification.
