Knights of Columbus Blood Drive
The Knights of Columbus are hosting a Blood Drive on Sunday, November 25th from 8:00 AM until 2:00 PM in McDonnell Hall. We have saved 90 lives through your donations at the last Blood Drive. Thank you!
Blood is the most precious “gift” that anyone can give to another person – the gift of life. A decision to donate your blood can save a life, or even several if your blood is separated into its components – red cells, platelets and plasma – which can be used individually for patients with specific conditions. Please consider giving – the gift of life!
If you are vaccinated (or not) you can still give blood or platelets, as long as you are feeling healthy and meet all the regular eligibility requirements. If you cannot make it to the blood drive, please consider donating at the Vitalant Center in Crystal Lake. Their phone number is 877–25–VITAL (84825) or go to www.vitalant.org. Please tell the staff that the donation is to be made for U202, which is the code for St. Margaret Mary Knights of Columbus.
To give blood you must be 17 years old or older and in good health and bring a photo ID. You can also give blood if you are age 16 with the written consent of a parent. We look forward to seeing everyone at our next blood drive.
Please make arrangements to join us for this event and give the gift of life. If you have any questions you can contact us at marvinbasch@gmail.com.
