Becoming Catholic

Are You Interested in Becoming Catholic?

RCIA-crossThe process for discerning is called RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults). It is a process that takes you on a journey of discerning the call to be a Catholic Christian and learning about Catholicism and what it means to follow Jesus.

Is the RCIA for you? Couple of questions you may think about…

Have you been worshipping with us but never took the step to become Catholic?

Have you been a Catholic all your life but never celebrated all the Sacraments of Initiation ~ Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist?

Are you of another religious denomination and want to find out more about the Catholic tradition?

When does the process begin?

When you hear the promptings of the Holy Spirit. So it begins when you are ready to take the first step. Contact the Parish Office at 847-658-7625 that you are interested and would like more information. An RCIA team member will contact you.

Rite of Christian Initiation (RCIA) sessions begin at St. Margaret Mary on Sunday, October 3rd. If you or you know of someone that may be interested in becoming Catholic, please see the bulletin or call the parish office for full details.
