17th Sunday in Ordinary Time – July 26th, 2026

The readings today cause us to ask ourselves, “What do we value?”   Every day of our lives we are confronted with decisions and choices.  Often it is a challenge to know what to do.  During our Eucharist today, may our prayer be the prayer of Solomon – to ask God for the grace of His wisdom and discernment in our own lives.

  • (Saturday 4:30 PM, Sunday 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM Only) Stop into the Nazareth room today for a blood pressure screening by our parish health ministry.
  • Please stop at the table in Bethany Lobby today to sign up to bring home with your families the Vocations Chalice.  To pray for those discerning a vocation and all those living out one in the Priesthood, Diaconate, religious life, and Married Life.

  • Are you an incoming 9th grader or older? Looking for a way to grow in your faith, build leadership skills, and make lasting friendships? As a member of Adeste, our Peer Ministry Team, you’ll help plan and lead Youth Ministry events, share your ideas, and make a real impact on our youth community.  We’d love to have you on the team!   • Margaret Mary School is excited to announce a new partnership with a Catholic homeschool program designed to support families in their mission of educating their children in the faith. This part-time enrollment program provides families with additional resources, community, and support while allowing them to continue their homeschooling journey. Please see this week’s bulletin for more details, and we encourage you to share this opportunity with anyone who may be interested.
  • The Knights are out in the community this weekend serving food at Algonquin Fest, stop over and enjoy some fine food.
  • Have you ever thought about becoming a Catholic? We have a process for learning more about that, coming soon! The Order of Christian Initiation (OCIA) begins at St. Margaret Mary Parish on September 20t.  This is a program that provides non-Catholics with information about our Church and our faith.  It is meant for unbaptized adults, those baptized in other Christian traditions, or baptized Catholics who missed receiving Confirmation and First Communion.  This is a great opportunity to get to know more about the Catholic Faith. We would love to talk to you to inform you about our OCIA process.  Just call or visit the parish office.  Someone will be in touch with you very quickly to discuss all the details.
