25th Sunday in Ordinary Time  – September 21st 2025
Today we celebrate Catechetical Sunday.   Catechetical Sunday is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the role that each person plays by our Baptism, in handing on the faith and being a witness to the Gospel; to our families, our community, in our stewardship, and the world.
For the past several weeks, we have been hearing about the cost of discipleship. Today, Jesus guides us in how to put our lives and talents into good service for Him.
How trustworthy are we with what the Master, God our Father, has given us?
Where do we place our gifts, talents, and treasures in our lives?
Who or what do we serve?
Jesus tells us that we must decide because we “cannot serve both God and mammon.”
Please join the us right after Mass in our Chapel, as they will be praying the Holy Rosary for Suicide Prevention and Awareness.  Rosaries are available if needed.

  • Calling all women of the parish. She Shall be Called Women Ministry starts on Monday Sept. 22i at 7:00pm. See the bulletin or check out the table in the lobby today.
  • Our current Altar Servers and those that are thinking of becoming an Altar Server to the 1św. training meeting on Sunday September 28t from 2:30PM to 3:45PM or on Tuesday September 30t from 5:30PM to 6:45PM. New Parents, please plan to stay after the registration.
  • Come and give the gift of life through your blood donation in McDonnell Hall next Sunday September 28t with the Knight of Columbus Blood Drive from 8:00 AM until 1:45 PM.
  • September is Suicide Awareness Month and St. Margaret Mary will host a QPR Suicide Prevention Training, presented by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), on Wednesday, September 24t at 7:00 PM in McDonnell Hall.   Stop at the table for more information.
  • St. Dymphna Mental Health Ministry will have a meeting on Thursday, September 25t from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM in McDonnell Hall. Our topic for this week will be focused on health and nutrition to help mental health.
  • In our lobby today are the Knights of Columbus selling tickets for the clergy appreciation dinner.  If you cannot attend, you can support as a well wisher for our clergy.
  • Do you know someone who has shown some interest in joining the Catholic Church? The Order of Christian Initiation (OCIA) begins at St. Margaret Mary Parish on September 28t. We would love to talk to these people to inform them about OCIA. Just call or visit the parish office.
  • Family Formation and Confirmation both start on Sunday Sept. 13t.  Simple to register with details in the bulletin and on the website for both educational and sacramental programs.  Also, are you interested in volunteering with children and families? We have multiple wonderful opportunities in our Family Formation sessions and need special help on Wednesday for Gather Family Formation evenings. Please call the office for more details.
