14th Sunday in Ordinary Time – July 5th, 2026

Happy 250th Birthday to America and also a most Happy Birthday to Fr. Blood.  May many blessings come down upon our country and upon you Father this special day.

In our readings this week we are reminded that our God reigns to the ends of the earth; that his Spirit dwells in us; and that we know God because Jesus has revealed him to us.  But perhaps the most amazing words we hear come from Jesus at the end of today’s Gospel: “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.”

Isn’t it wonderful to know that our mighty and powerful God cares enough about us to lift our burdens and soothe our weary souls?   Life can sometimes be difficult, but we are promised rest and comfort in the arms of our loving God.

  • (7:00AM Only) Please join the Knights of Columbus right after Mass here in the church as they will be praying the holy rosary. Rosaries are available if needed.
  • The Food Pantry shopping cart will be out by the church doors during all the Masses on Saturday, July 11t and Sunday, July 12t.  Food can be dropped off anytime during the month in the shopping cart located in the hallway by the parish office.
  • For all kids ages 1 to 92, the Knights of Columbus will be hosting an Outdoor Movie Night on Friday, July 17t.  The movie being shown will be “Mary Poppins” and all are welcome to attend.   There will be food, beverages, and games starting at 6pm with the movie starting at dusk – between 8pm and 8:30pm.   Bring your chairs and a blanket and enjoy a classic movie with your fellow Parishioners out under the stars.
