22nd Sunday in Ordinary Time – August 30th, 2026
In the Gospel, Jesus tells us, “Whoever wishes to come after me must deny himself, take up his cross and follow me.”

The challenge and the glory of our own discipleship is just that – we must bear the hard crosses, but when we carry those crosses, we do so in faith and trust in Jesus Christ, knowing our reward is Eternal Life with Him in Heaven.

  • Please stop by the table in our lobby to support the St. Vincent DePaul walk for the poor including our Priests who are walking.  Additionally, if you know of someone in need, please reach out for assistance.  Stop by the table or call the phone number available in our bulletin.
  • On September 12t and 13t, we will celebrate the World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly.  Please invite or accompany those in our families or the parish as we lift them up in prayer during the Holy Mass.
  • Registration for Gather Family Formation is open for all families with preschool children and older.  Also, confirmation Formation registration is open for all incoming 9t graders.   Please register, since these programs are starting soon.
  • St. Margaret Mary will be attending a beautiful one-day pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe on September 26t.  Information on how to register and more details about the pilgrimage can be found in the bulletin. Registration is due by September 9t.
  • The Youth Choir is starting soon, now that School has started.  Mass and youth choir will be resuming the Sunday after Labor Day, September 13t.  St. Margaret Mary Parish is blessed to have a youth choir that sings at the 4:30 PM Sunday Mass and we need more singers and cantors! So, please see the bulletin for details if you are interested in joining our group of amazing singers.
  • Lastly, starting this past Friday on August 21św., Friday Masses will be 6:45 AM and 9:00 AM.
  • Are you 9t grade or older and looking for a way to grow in your faith, build leadership skills, and make lasting friendships? As a member of Adeste, our Peer Ministry Team, you’ll help plan and lead Youth Ministry events, share your ideas, and make a real impact on our youth community.  We’d love to have you on the team! Applications are available on the St. Margaret Mary Youth Ministry website. Join Adeste and be part of something amazing.
  • Have you ever thought about becoming a Catholic? We have a process for learning more about that, coming soon! The Order of Christian Initiation (OCIA) begins at St. Margaret Mary Parish on September 20t.  This is a program that provides non-Catholics with information about our Church and our faith.  It is meant for unbaptized adults, those baptized in other Christian traditions, or baptized Catholics who missed receiving Confirmation and First Communion.  This is a great opportunity to get to know more about the Catholic Faith. We would love to talk to you to inform you about our OCIA process.  Just call or visit the parish office.  Someone will be in touch with you very quickly to discuss all the details.
