2016 DIOCESAN APPEAL
Every year at the end of April, the Diocese of Rockford announces the Diocesan Appeal. This year’s theme of the appeal is God’s Mercy Leads Us. This theme was chosen because we are celebrating the Jubilee Year of God’s Mercy. As the Holy Father Francis tells us, we are not only the receivers of God’s mercy, but we should be the apostles of this beautiful gift from God. We should be merciful towards others and share the good news of God’s mercy with everyone... MORE...

Support Our World Youth Day Pilgrims!
As many of you know a group of young people and adults
from our parish will soon be joining millions of Catholics
from around the world in Krakow, Poland for World Youth
Day 2016. In preparation for this pilgrimage we will be
taking donations for handmade rosaries that will travel with
us on this journey, being prayed with every step of the way,
and will conclude with being blessed by Pope Francis. Some
of the places the rosaries will travel to are Jasna Gora
Sanctuary (Marian Shrine in Poland), Zakopane Mountains
(retreat place for St. John Paul II), the Divine Mercy
Sanctuary, all World Youth Day events, Auschwitz-Birkenau
Concentration Camp, and birth place of St. John Paul II to
name just a few.
If you are interested in supporting our pilgrims in this way please contact Teresa Chiappone via Email or call 847-658-7881 by July 8th to reserve your rosary. “Thank you so much and know of our prayers for you as we embark on this journey."
